Certified Personal Trainer, ACE
What skills and expertise do you bring to Sweet Mo clients?
I am an ACE certified personal trainer and I have 10+ years of weight training experience.
When did you know you wanted to be a trainer?
My whole life I have been athletic, and I love teaching people. Two years ago while I was working in a bar as a bartender, I realized that I wanted to make a shift so I could help people change their lives with fitness.
What do you think is most effective about semi private training/ personal training?
Accountability!!! Having a group that knows you and will ask you “Where were you??” and also having that group to push you to better yourself. Working out together is also way more fun!
Name a peak experience in your life.
In 2009 i won a Mudd run at Camp Pendleton Marine Corp base.
Why create a fitness community?
Community drives people. When you build a fitness community, you allow people to connect with one another and support each other. Having friends that are going through the same struggle is an inspiration and provides extra motivation.
What is the environment that you strive to create here at Sweet Mo?
I try to create a fun and energetic experience for all our clients while providing professional and friendly coaching. I want to show people that fitness is not all about “No pain, no gain.” It is about bettering yourself and creating healthy habits that will stick with you for your entire life.
What is an interesting tidbit about you?
Slacklining is my favorite thing to do in the whole world! I truly love it. The mixture of power, balance, and focus keep me coming back. It is my form of meditation.
What does Sweet Momentum mean to you?
Sweet Mo is a place where anyone can come regardless of body type, gender, age, or ethnicity. It is a place where people come to better themselves on a daily basis, and I am proud to say that I am part of the Sweet Mo team!
